University students are meeting at Meridyen Association for the world’s most intellectual game!
Meridyen, which brings together the academic and intellectual resources of Turkey, this time around is convening university students together in order to promote critical thought and develop efficient and influential expression of ideas.

All university students are being brought together at Meridyen Debating Club!
Because discussion has been the meeting point of leading names in the world — from Harvard to Oxford and from Sydney to Tokyo– for the past 150 years… More than half of the British parliament comprises old debaters… Five prime ministers in theUK have emerged from members of the Oxford Union Society, the world’s most famous debating society
The likes of Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela, Kofi Annan, John F. Kennedy, Margaret Thatcher, and Oprah Winfrey all climbed the latter of success through the steps of analytical thought.
Because debate is one of the ways of attaining knowledge in the legacy of Islamic culture… It is a thought and idea cocoon in which the names of Islam’s leading thinkers participated in from time to time. It is a window which opens into the contemplative worlds of Al-Kindi, Farabi and Ibn Sina…
Meridyen Association is convening at the Meridyen Debate Club in order to rejuvenate the tradition of university students’ thought process in this ever-changing world, shaping their world of ideas and helping them form a systemic order of thinking!
The Meridyen Debate Club has given students the opportunity in educating themselves free of charge on Wednesdays from 6 -8:30 p.m. for three months (From Feb. 29-May 30). This educational program includes, in addition to the seminars on the “A-Z” details of debate techniques, interactive and practical applications such as film analysis, book reviews, discussions with famous names. This educational program, which is facilitated by a professional instructor, will grant a certificate of attendance to those who participate in at least 2/3 of the classes.
